Behind the Legislature: Setting an Example?

Dear trailblazers,

Have you ever travelled downtown by bike just south of the Legislative buildings and felt that things got a little strange on the way back? Ever find yourself riding against the flow of (albeit slow moving) traffic? Or heading for the sidewalk? That little stretch is one of Manitoba’s busiest active transportation corridors, but design-wise we think it could be better.  This fall, we went and did a little research into what people are actually doing on their bikes back there. It confirmed our suspicions: this area needs a redesign.

Check out the letter we wrote and find out why.

Since #fixitfriday falls on New Years Day this year, we thought we’d spend sometime trying to get something actually fixed.
Can you think of other areas dying for an easy fix?
Let us know.
We’ll go check it out.
