Salma Mahmoud

Project and Volunteer Coordinator (Trees) – An undergraduate science student with a love for the outdoors, she’s found a natural home at Winnipeg Trails. Over three summers, she’s worn many hats; sewing bike accessories from locally sourced recycled materials, connecting with the community at farmers markets, and using design to support projects like adult biking lessons. She’s also helped people find their Dutch bikes so they can move through the city more freely. Now, she’s tending to young trees, getting them ready to be planted across Winnipeg! Passionate about making the city greener and more connected, she’s always looking for ways to blend science, creativity, and community.
