Interlake region is being recognized on a provincial level

Volunteers and organizations from the Interlake region are being recognized on the front cover of the Saturday October 5th Selkirk Journal. On September 30th, the Manitoba Tourism Awards, gave awards to finalists from the Interlake region including, Julie Turenne-Maynard, executive director of Rivers West; Fraser Stewart, volunteer in the Selkirk and St. Clements area; the Lockport Dam Family Festival; and the Manipogo Festival in St. Laurent.

Julie states that she is happy by being nominated as a finalist; to have won an award is a huge honour and a wonderful surprise.
