Discover the Monarch Butterfly’s “Life Journey” on the Northeast Pioneers Greenway

A new public artwork by Denise Prefontaine and the Kildonan-East Collegiate Girls’ Club has been installed on the Northeast Pioneers Greenway at Concordia Avenue.

This intergenerational community project brought together girls and women of all ages to work side by side, sharing and connecting in the process. The youngest participant was age 3; the oldest 105!

Artwork created through the Winnipeg Arts Council’s Youth WITH ART community public art program with additional support from the City of Winnipeg Parks and Open Space Division of the Public Works Department and the River East Neighbourhood Network – Trail Committee.
