Bike Lessons For Adults at Grant Park 2026 – Saturday June 13

Everything you need to know to get started riding a bicycle, or how to hone your skills.

Winnipeg Trails is proud to offer a learning method imported from one of the most well-known cycling countries of the world: The Netherlands.  Our method focuses on simplifying the steps, building bicycle confidence, and having fun.

Come as you are. There is no need for advanced preparation, special skills, previous experience or athletic ability!

All abilities and ages and persons are welcome. We do focus primarily on adults.*

Bikes are provided (also imported from the Netherlands, upright and easy to ride!) on a first come first serve basis.  You should bring your bike, if you already have one so we can make sure it is the right bike for you and so we can include more people in the lessons.

Instructors : Your instructors are adults who have experienced the lessons in action in the last two years and hope to pass along the knowledge they have gained.

Please register, as it helps us gauge interest and make sure there are enough bikes available. You are welcome to drop in and check things out if you are interested in joining a session at another time.

*Have a child that needs to learn to ride? If your child needs to learn to ride a bike, you are welcome to bring them. We can teach you how to teach them!Want to learn with your children? That is possible, but we do recommend coming without kids for your first few sessions to get the hang of it. Please note that kids bikes are NOT available, and that unsupervised children are not allowed to join the learning group on their own. If you are coming for lessons and bringing your children with you, we recommend bringing a friend to watch the kids.
