Cycleloopia is a series of fun cycling events celebrating the many ways we cycle, with a special focus on adapted bicycles and our disabled community in all its forms. Open to everyone, including new or inexperienced friends, family, lovers, your pets. This is not to be missed.
It’s a chance to “cycle a loop” somewhere cool or beautiful, not too far or tricky, perhaps new for you or a friend. It’s also a chance to meet new people, listen to some tunes, try out a new cycle or show one off.
The accessibility of the sites themselves will vary, but we, the organizers, are determined to make the experience as user-friendly as possible, and together, look at ways of making them more accessible for others to follow. As part of the process of scouting the routes, providing good info and mustering any assistance as required, we learn more by hosting ambitious events like these, find out about the places we visit, and pave the way for others who don’t already know where to go or what to expect.
The bigger vision? To hold multiple annual events like this every year, each one somewhere new, where we explore new parts of the community by bike as a group, gather to swap stories and skills. If you have ideas of where to go next, or want to get involved, let us know! This event series is organized by Winnipeg Trails and Accessible Sport Connections MB.
In 2025, we launch the first one ever CYCLELOOPIA in Kings Park on Saturday July 19th 2025. Be there.
